One month old

Mallory was one month old on the 16th. On one hand, it's hard to believe it's been a month already! On the other, it's hard to remember what it was like before her. With all this hurricane stuff, we've been glad that she decided to come earlier than expected...

If you can't tell from the picture, she is definitely filling out and loves to eat. I'm pretty convinced she would eat 4 oz. of formula every two hours if I let her - which is definitely too much! It's not unusual for her to stay awake an hour and a half or two hours after a few feedings a day. Of course, she still doesn't do much, but I think she will be smiling pretty soon because she laughs and smiles quite a bit when she's sleeping. She sometimes has one stretch of 4-5 hours between feedings, but normally eats every three. And, that longer stretch doesn't necessarily come at night as we would like! But, she's still sleeping some in the crib and sleeps well in the swing, so we are definitely better off than we were with the boys at this age... Not that she doesn't like to sleep with Mommy or Daddy on the couch or recliner, too! She wants to take the pacifier but still hasn't quite gotten the hang on it. Drew was the same way, and really didn't figure out how to keep it in his mouth until he was about three months old.

Both of her brothers are still happy she's around, so Mommy and Daddy are happy about that. Mommy will be even happier once school starts back up and she has a little more time to enjoy Mallory on her own.
