Last round of vacation pics

On our last day in Chattanooga, we took
the Incline Railway up Lookout Mountain.

By the end of the trip, I was getting pretty sick of Drew
ALWAYS asking to sit next to Hannah,
and she was, too!

Our next stop was Wilderness at the Smokies -
an indoor/outdoor waterpark in Sevierville, TN.

This particular day, Mallory preferred
my glasses to her own...

All twelve of us stayed in their largest suite, which was basically two rooms connected by a third
room with a kitchen and murphy bed.  Scott & Holly's side had bunk beds, and these two kept climbing
up on them.  First time I caught them was because I heard Mallory say, "How do we get down from here?" lol  They were watching Scooby Doo, and apparently the view is much better from up there!

Vacation pics - day three

Started off the day visiting Rock City, atop Lookout Mountain

Lots of gnomes to be seen there... not sure why!

Venturing across Swing-a-long bridge...

Checking out some of the mountain views

I doubt that Drew is looking in the
right direction, but there is a spot
on Lookout Mountain where
you can see seven states.
(And no, I don't know which ones,
I'd have to look it up! lol)

After lunch, we moved on to Ruby Falls.  It took us
an hour to get down to the falls and back, with
roughly five minutes of viewing time.

The waterfall is actually inside of
Lookout Mountain!

Vacation pics - day two

Spent the day in Chattanooga, visiting the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel and taking in a Chattanooga Lookouts game in the evening.  The kids enjoyed climbing up on the trains - some you can explore, some are used for dining, and some are even hotel rooms.   We visited their model train museum and took a ride on the trolley around the grounds.  There wasn't much to see, so it's a good thing the tickets were only a $1. lol

The kids had a great time pulling the trolley bell!

Too bad I forgot Brady's  baseball cap at home...
his little league team in the spring of 2010 was
the Chattanooga Lookouts.

Vacation pics - day one

The house we shared, close to Chattanooga

Visiting the Tennessee Aquarium

Don't think the kids even knew these were piranhas. lol

Up close and personal with the penguins :)

After the aquarium, we took a walk across the Walnut
Street Bridge to see Coolidge Park

The kids had fun, but it was getting pretty darn
warm by this time!

Off to ride the carousel...

Not surprisingly, it wasn't my kids' idea to
climb this "tree"

Roasting some marshmallows back at the house

The house we stayed in was very nice.  The only disappointment was we were expecting to be able to fish in the creek behind the house, but the water level was too low.  The men did take the kids fishing somewhere nearby, but none of them caught anything.  Thankfully, it wasn't too big a deal because they were having plenty of fun otherwise!
