Lots of snapshots

Cindy is coming out with some new templates this weekend called lots of snapshots. She did three different versions, and I was excited when I saw them because they gave me the motivation to scrap both Brady and Mallory's birthdays :)  I often find that when I don't have any great photos (just a bunch of good/ok ones), I have a harder time scrapping them so these were perfect.  I'm feeling accomplished, lol.

Happy Birthday Brady!

Brady is officially ten today, although he's pretty much been celebrating the whole weekend.  He had two friends spend the night last night. They chose to go to CiCi's for dinner (Bryan was thrilled, lol) and then to Main Event where they bowled and played video games.  The three of them stayed up until 2 a.m., at which point I told them to go to bed!  This morning, Brady discovered they had attempted to draw a mustache, goatee, and monocle on his face while he was sleeping.  Apparently, a pen was the only thing they could find to draw with, so they weren't able to do a great job :p I was just glad they didn't go for a sharpie!

Today was out to lunch with Grandma & Grandpa Dinkel, then home to open presents.  Both boys have baseball games this afternoon, but Brady managed to find a few minutes to squeeze in some time on the wii - he was happy to get Mario Super Sluggers from Uncle Scott and family.

Brady and his friends got movie tickets to see the
Hunger Games when it comes out next month.

Mallory is frothing at the mouth for Brady to
share one of these with her, lol!

It's a big day!

Mom is finally going home today :) It's been 3 1/2 weeks since the accident, so a long time coming! I'm planning to scrap a page about it all, but that's just in my head for now, lol. I took Brady with me to visit her earlier this week, and we are all going this weekend for a quick visit.  Of course, Brady's birthday is also this weekend, so fun times ahead!

A little share for now...

Two weeks and counting...

lots of fun stuff coming up this month! Brady's birthday is a little over a week away, then Scott & Holly are coming in town for an A&M game, and we can't forget Halloween :)  One of the things I'm most excited about, however, is two weeks from tomorrow.  Here's a little background for those I haven't talked with - we want to build a house in the neighborhood next to our elementary school. It's not as simple as putting some money down and starting the process though. There is a waiting list with a couple hundred names on it and there will be 62 lots available in the section that is opening in December.  So, anyone on the list that wants a lot is to show up to a drawing (like a lottery) and hope their name gets pulled!  That drawing will take place on Sunday, the 27th.  Here's hoping my name is one of them...

Here's a layout I finally got around to finishing. I bought the template and kit months ago, and even had the pictures in place.  I have several like this waiting for me to finish - they usually don't sit around this long, but I guess they'll get done eventually!

Beanie Boos

Did a quick photo session with Mallory last night to get some pics of her with a few of her favorite friends.  I've been meaning to scrap a page and decided to finally get around to it!

Her face is a little banged up, but apparently I was too
lazy to open photoshop and fix that...

Her choice of pose... of course!

My fav

I suggested she throw her animals in the air - she loved the
idea so then we had to do it 17 times (I'm exaggerating... a bit).
Ready, set, go!

I wish both her face and the animals could have been
in focus, but I'll take what I can get :p

It's been a while...

since I posted! Seems like the older the kids get, the less I have to talk about, lol. Or, maybe it's that I have less time to talk :p  I've always noticed that I take the least amount of pictures in January and September - no holidays, vacations, etc. going on so my camera just doesn't come out as much.  If Bryan and I hadn't gone to NYC, I'd pretty much have no pictures at all from September.  It doesn't help that the boys have been rained out three weekends already for their baseball games!

Here's a layout I did last week for Cindy -

In other news, we've finally decided on Halloween costumes! By this time, I normally have them in hand but this year we had a harder time coming to an agreement. Of course, I wanted all three kids to "go" together, but I could see that it was going to be very difficult... mainly because of Mallory (who else?). I came up with the idea of Cruella de vil for her, knowing she would probably be thrilled about it. She hasn't wavered from it since we decided.  The boys were trickier. After much deliberation, they have decided on KISS.  I cannot wait to see Drew dressed up... it's going to be awesome!
